Rules and Regulations

Joining the Tour

All players interested in joining the tour must register at the golf course prior to playing their first round. Players can register on the day of the event; they must notify the golf shop staff at the event’s location and pay their registration fee. All players registered for the tour and paid in full will see their tour division ranking and position on the leaderboard upon completing two rounds. Further tour information and updates will follow each week on our Bruce’s Golf Rewards Website.

Scheduling Tee Times

Tour players are responsible for booking their own tee times each event. Players can book their tee time in accordance with the courses booking policy and are subject to the appropriate price rate at time of play.

Per Event Draw Prizing

Each event in Bruce’s Rewards Golf Tour draws for free golf. Players have the opportunity to gain Bruce’s Rewards points towards free golf at one of our seven golf courses. Major events and charity events throughout the season will allow players the opportunity to win even more… Bruce’s Rewards points will automatically be issued to their account and will be posted weekly on our website.

Competition

The tour is for players of all caliber. Each event is a 9-hole format. Each player must declare before their round that they are competing and they must hand in an attested scorecard after their round. Players must play with a person in order for their score that week to count. Players have seven days to play that course on the schedule except events that stipulate a particular date. Scores, winners and Bruce’s Dollars standings will be posted the following week on the Bruce’s Golf Rewards website. Handicaps are determined after a player plays two tour events.

Bruce’s Dollars

Accumulate Bruce’s Dollars at each event through a 9-hole gross score format. Bruce’s Dollars accumulate throughout the season for great end of year prizes. The larger accumulation of dollars you have, the greater the prize you can receive at the Grand Finale. Each tour Division has a separate purse per event and therefore compete for their own prize table at the Grand Finale. Bruce’s Dollars accumulate during the season and are only valid for use at the Grand Finale.

Bruce’s Tour Purses

Tour purses are determined at the beginning of the season and posted on the Bruce’s Golf Rewards website. Various Tournaments during the season have larger purses and therefore are worth more in the overall standings. Players participating in theses events have the opportunity to move up the standings.

Qualifying for the Grand Finale

Players must play and post score in 10 events throughout the season in order to qualify for the Grand Finale. Players who qualify for the Grand Finale will be notified by e-mail on or before October 18, 2010. Only players qualifying for the Grand Finale can use their Bruce’s Dollars towards the prize table. Bruce’s Dollars are accumulated throughout the season and determine what Tour Division you participate in the following year.
Rules Governing Competition
All play on Bruce’s Golf Rewards Tour will be subject to “The Rules of Golf” as approved by the R.C.G.A., January 1, 2004.

Tour Divisions

Bruce’s Golf Rewards reserves the right to reassign a player to a different tour division during the season should their handicap factor change plus or minus 6 factor points.

Charity Events

Events listed on the schedule as charity events are very special to Bruce’s Golf Rewards and the memory of Bruce Summers. A portion of the green fees collected that day will be donated to a local charity of our choice.
