Whitby Fury Alumni Night
Written by Ryan Starr on Thursday Oct 15, 2009
We at the Whitby Fury are hosting an alumni night for all of you who played for our organization (Oshawa Legionnaires and Durham Fury). We would like to get as many of you and your former teammates out to the game on October 29th, at 7:30pm, at Iroquois Park Arena, when we face off against the Orangeville Crushers. With two former alumni coaching the Crushers this will be a great night to recognize our alumni.
We have a limited amount of old Legionnaire and Fury Jerseys available to be received for a donation of $20.00 which will be used to set up the Cliff Maddock’s scholarship award. The award is in recognition of Cliff and his many years of volunteering for the Legionnaires and the Fury.

Many players ask the question, does properly fit equipment really matter? Of course the answer is yes. Properly fit equipment gives you the player the best opportunity to hit consistent shots. If your equipment is working with you and not against you have a better chance of making solid contact.
Cobble Beach Golf Links
Written by Ryan Starr on Wednesday Jun 10, 2009
The weather was threatening as myself and our 22 participants boarded the bus for Cobble Beach. Promised late day sunshine by the Head Golf Professional, Warren Thomas, at Cobble Beach. We started out in a Scottish mist with the wind howling in our face as we challenged the long par 4 first hole.
Question of the week, What club should I use around the green?
Written by Ryan Starr on Tuesday Jun 02, 2009
The answer is the club you feel most comfortable using. Accessing your lie and what is in front of you should be the two things you look at with every shot. Take the club you feel gives you the best opportunity for success and biggest margin for error.
